My fandom knows no bounds

I haven’t posted on here in a while and in particular, I haven’t posted about the Red Sox in a while. Right after my bullpen blog, the Sox lost a bunch, and maybe that was because we were fielding the PawSox out there. OR……… IT WAS ALL MY FAULT!

My posting of the blog clearly fucked up the space time continuum, thus causing the timeline to skew into this tangent. Wait, that’s not it. I fucked up the Sox? Yeah! That’s it! So, my superstitious ass hasn’t wanted to chance it. But my superstition doesn’t end at that.

I have stopped watching the Red Sox games live for the betterment of Red Sox Nation. Let me explain: This playoffs, I have watched the final innings of Game 1 of the ALDS, all of Game 2 of the ALDS, and all of Game 1 of the ALCS. See a pattern there? I watch, we either lose or get outscored after having a big lead. I have followed the games intently on my phone on an app while receiving notifications for run scoring plays. You can just picture me laying next to my phone anxiously awaiting the next update but so far, when I don’t watch, the Sox win. And that’s all that matters. I’m like the Nelson Mendela of the sporting world. Sacrificing the watching of my favorite sports team for the betterment of an entire fanbase. So Red Sox Nation, you’re welcome.

And maybe I’m crazy. Maybe my watching of the game has nothing to do with the outcome of the games. But UNTIL the Sox lose a game that I don’t watch, I’ll be sitting next to my phone with sweaty palms awaiting the next score notification.

Bonus: If my posting on the Red Sox results in another string of losses and an Astros comeback, I may never post again. SO in that event, I hope you all enjoyed the content!

P.S.- Spectator Interference
When there is spectator interference with any thrown or batted ball,
the ball shall be dead at the moment of interference and the umpire
shall impose such penalties as in his opinion will nullify the act of
APPROVED RULING: If spectator interference clearly prevents
a fielder from catching a fly ball, the umpire shall declare
the batter out.

You stay salty Houston fans.
