My 1st Mock Draft

I usually don’t do these because they are almost never right and impossible to predict but here goes anyway.

1) Arizona Cardinals

Biggest needs: OL, DL, CB

Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State

Bosa has been consensus #1 on all mock drafts I’ve seen. He can get to the backfield from anywhere on the Defensive Line.

2) San Francisco 49ers

Biggest needs: Edge Rush, DB, WR

Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama

Willians is too good of a player to pass up and will immediately upgrade the 49ers defense

3) New York Jets

Biggest needs: Edge, OL, WR, RB

Josh Allen, OLB/DE, Kentucky

Ideally, Jets trade back because they need more help protecting Darnold but if not Allen should be the pick here. He is a freak of nature plain and simple. He just always ends up in the backfield. He also can drop back into pass coverage.

4) Oakland Raiders

Biggest needs: Edge, DB, WR

Rashan Gary, DT/DE, Michigan

Gary can play anywhere on the DL you need him. He’s no Khalil Mack but he will get the job done

5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Biggest needs: DB, OL, Edge

Greedy Williams, CB, LSU

Greedy is the top ranked DB in this draft. He isn’t the most physical out there but he uses his size very well

6) New York Giants

Biggest needs: QB, OL, DL

Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma

Yes this is quite the reach here but can you imagine him and Barkley in the backfield for New York.

7) Jacksonville Jaguars

Biggest needs: QB, WR, OL, TE

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

I think it’s time for Bortles to leave. It hurts to say that but he needs a fresh start and Haskins can come in and start right away.

8) Detroit Lions

Biggest needs: DB, Edge, WR, TE

Ed Oliver, DT/DE, Houston

Yes he is labeled as DT/DE but he, in my opinion, is a better DE.

9) Buffalo Bills

Biggest needs: OL, WR, CB

Jonah Williams, OT Alabama

Jonah is the best Tackle in this draft. If there are any doubts you probably haven’t watched any Bama Football. I’m sure Josh Allen (QB) would love this pick.

10) Denver Broncos

Biggest needs: QB, CB, WR, TE

D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

Metcalf is an absolute unit. If Murray or Haskins are here they could be the pick. Metcalf can stretch the field and has no qualms about going up and fighting for those jump balls

11) Cincinnati Bengals

Biggest needs: LB, OL, TE

Devin White, LB, LSU

Without question the best LB this past football season. White will be an immediate playmaker with his ability to rush the QB and also drop back.

12) Green Bay Packers

Biggest needs: Edge, WR, OL, TE

Montez Sweat, OLB/DE

Sweat is relentless when it comes to rushing the passer filling a big need for the Packers.

13) Miami Dolphins

Biggest needs: DE, QB, OL

Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson

Ferrell is fantastic outside run stopper and an equally fantastic pass rusher.

14) Atlanta Falcons

Biggest needs: Edge, OL, DT

Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida

Taylor fills a desperate need here. Matt Ryan was sacked 42 times this past season. Hopefully Taylor can provide the protection to keep Ryan standing.

15) Washington Redskins

Biggest needs: QB, WR, OL

Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma

Brown will stretch the field. He isn’t the biggest guy out there but he doesn’t need to be with his speed and crisp route running.

16) Carolina Panthers

Biggest needs: Edge, OL, S

Jachai Polite, OLB/DE, Florida

He is undersized but his speed and athleticism make up for it.

17) Cleveland Browns

Biggest needs: OT, WR, CB

Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia

Baker is a smart, physical cover corner.

18) Minnesota Vikings

Biggest needs: OL, LB, DT

Cody Ford, G/OT, Oklahoma

Ford is a mauler at guard or right tackle. Needs some more development in pass blocking but has the athleticism to pick it up.

19) Tennessee Titans

Biggest needs: WR, Edge, OL

Kelvin Harmon, WR, NC State

Harmon is a deep threat with his size and speed, but he is also clean route runner and will also block for you

20) Pittsburgh Steelers

Biggest needs: CB, ILB, Edge

Devin Bush, ILB, Michigan

Bush is a solid run stopper with his speed and also is a very good cover linebacker

21) Seattle Seahawks

Biggest needs: Edge, DT, OL

Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

Lawrence is your ideal run stopper because of his size.

22) Baltimore Ravens

Biggest needs: Edge, RB, WR, OL

Josh Jacobs, RB Alabama

Jacobs has great vision, power, and elusiveness. He also is a solid pass catcher out of the backfield

23)Houston Texans

Biggest needs: OL, S, CB

Deionte Thompson, S, Alabama

Thompson is all over the field. Solid with run support as well.

24) Oakland Raiders (via Chicago)

Biggest needs: Edge, DB, WR

N’Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State

Harry is matchup nightmare in the red zone.

25) Philadelphia Eagles

Biggest needs: DL, OT, DB, RB

Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson

Out of all the Clemson DL he is the most versatile. Very good at controlling blocks against the run and getting to QB.

26) Indianapolis Colts

Biggest needs: DL, WR, CB

Dre’Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State

Jones is a natural inside pass rusher who needs a bit more size and coaching.

27) Oakland Raiders (via Dallas)

Biggest needs: Edge, DB, WR

Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson

Mullen is coming off an up and down season but has the size, speed and physicality to stand out.

28) Los Angeles Chargers

Biggest needs: DT, OT, LB

Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State

Light on his feet for his size. Natural pass protection skills teams love.

29) Kansas City Chiefs

Biggest needs: CB, S, Edge

Byron Murphy, CB, Washington

His speed, aggressiveness and ballhawking skills make up for his size.

30, Green Bay Packers (via New Orleans)

Biggest needs: Edge, WR, TE, OL

T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa

Hockenson is the ideal size and he has great hands. Has potential to be the next Rob Gronkowski.

31) Los Angeles Rams

Biggest needs: Edge, DB, DT

Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame

Tillery will step right in next to Aaron Donald and fill the hole left by the departure of Suh, who I assume he is out in free agency.

32) New England Patriots

Biggest needs: DL, WR, TE*, DB, QB*

Daniel Jones, QB, Duke

They need to start planning for life after Brady and Jones has the size and skills to be the future. With some sitting behind Brady, and coaching from Belichick, Jones could keep the reign of terror alive.
